Here are the next steps to help you move forward safely and responsibly.

How to Submit Your CPL Application

Once your class is complete, the next step is submitting your CPL application through your local Clerk's Office.

Bring your ID and training certificate to the Clerk's Office.

Complete the CPL application form (obtain at the Clerk's Office).

Do not sign the application until you are in front of the Clerk.

Pay the required fees:

$100 Clerk fee + $15 fingerprint fee = $115 total

Have your fingerprints taken. You may need to schedule an appointment.

Wait for processing (up to 45 days). Be patient and respectful.

Remember: I do not want to run into you in 3 years and find out you have had an accident. Keep your family safe from you.

✓ Only authorized individuals should handle your firearm.
